This guide will help you to integrate Hybe with AppsFlyer to run retargeting campaigns and also build suppression list for User Acquisition

Integration process:

Step 1.

Open "Partner Marketplace" section to find and integrate the necessary partner.

Step 2.

Search "hybrid" and select "set up integration".

Step 3.

Under the Hybe by Hybrid integration, please activate partner.

Step 4.

For iOS integration, please configure postback settings like on the screenshot below:

  • Advanced Privacy (for iOS 14.5 + and later) – OFF

  • Share SKAN transaction ID – ON

For reference: if this toggle can’t be turned off, go to app settings and follow step 16. of this integration guide.

Step 5.

Cloud ID: next step is to enter an app-specific Hybe by Hybrid Cloud ID. You can find it in the app object settings after creating it.

Step 6.

Enable Install view-through attribution – ON

Step 7.

Re-engagement view-through attribution – OFF

For reference: if you run retargeting (RT) campaigns and this toggle can’t be turned ON, go to app settings and follow step 17. of the integration guide.

Step 8.

Pick up the events you'd like to send to Hybe by Hybrid in Default postbacks section. We advise select "All media sources, including organic" at least for install event while launching user acquisition and retargeting campaigns.

Step 9.

Enter‌ Hybe by Hybrid Cloud ID (used for the previous Cloud ID) once again.

Step 10.

  • Enable In-app events postbacks;

  • Add the SDK event name;

  • Add the partner event identifier for the column "mapped to partner event". For in-app events we recommend using short names with "_" as a divider.

    For example, "app_opened" or "new_user_registered", but not "app opened" and "new user registered";

  • Select "All media sources, including organic" for the "for users from" field for each event;

  • Select "Values & Revenue" for the "including" field for each event.

Don't forget to save the integration tab!


Step 11.

Under the Hybe by Hybrid Attribution links configure Retargeting settings and lookback window for click-through and view-through attribution.

A. for UA (user acquisition) campaigns this toggle must be – OFF

B. for RT (retargeting) campaigns this toggle must be – ON

Set the value “Ignore active users for retargeting” depending on the goals of the advertising campaign and then specify the Inactivity window and Re-engagement window.

C. if you run RT (retargeting) and UA (user acquisition) campaigns, set this toggle OFF, you need to manually create RT (retargeting) click-attribution and view-attribution links.

use the following parameters for adding Re-engagement window:

&is_retargeting=true

&af_reengagement_window=30d

use the following parameters for adding Inactivity window and Re-engagement window:

&is_retargeting=true

&af_reengagement_window=30d

&af_inactivity_window=7d

Don't forget to save the attribution link tab!


Step 12.

Under the Hybe by Hybrid Permissions tab, enable Ad Network Permissions.

Step 13.

We recommend giving "Access aggregate loyal users data" in the following section of the settings.

For the detailed information you can check the AF documentation here. Access aggregate in-app events data" allows us to see the number of in-app events on AppsFlyer dashboards and split them via campaigns/SSPs/creatives and so on. It's a highly effective instrument in terms.

Step 14.

Enable "Access to your aggregate revenue data" to see the Revenue by campaigns/creatives/SSPs on the AppsFlyer dashboard. This helps optimize campaigns towards ROAS. We need access to "Protect360 dashboard & raw data" for proactive monitoring of traffic quality.

Don't forget to save the permission tab!


Step 15.

In the "App settings" enable view-through attribution for probabilistic modeling. Please set it up like on the screenshot below:

Turn OFF Advanced Privacy (for iOS 14.5 + and later).

(optional) Step 17.

For Retargeting campaigns turn ON Re-engagement attribution.

Don't forget to save the App Settings tab!


(optional) Step 18.

Add Suppression lists with Audiences to Hybe by Hybrid | Audience API

Premium Appsflyer clients have the option to of sending us directly device id/suppression lists via the Appsflyer Audience Tool.

After a list has been created, client can send it to Hybe by Hybrid system using API key (Cloud ID) that can be generated by the operation team. For detailed explanation on how to do so please refer to this guide.
